Wisconsin wins big over IowaNCAA Basketball Betting Lines03/03/2010 - Madison, WI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Jon Leuer scored 18 points and pulled down five rebounds, as the 15th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers dominated the Iowa Hawkeyes, 67-40, in a Big Ten clash at the Kohl Center. Senior guards Trevon Hughes and Jason Bohannon chipped in 15 and 11 points, respectively, in their final home game for the Badgers (22-7, 12-5 Big Ten), who have won three in a row. Bohannon also pulled down nine rebounds. The duo has been a part of 103 career wins and have each topped the 1,000- point milestone, ranking among the top 25 scorers in Wisconsin history. Aaron Fuller finished with 14 points and five rebounds for the Hawkeyes (10-20, 4-13), who were coming off a victory against Indiana on Sunday. Jarryd Cole donated nine points and six boards in defeat. A Fuller layup had Iowa ahead 8-7 just 3 1/2 minutes into the first half. But Wisconsin took control from there, closing out the frame on a 29-8 run. Leuer tallied 12 points during the surge, which Tim Jarmusz ended with a pair of free throws to give the Badgers a 36-16 margin at the break. Wisconsin opened the second half with a brief 9-4 spurt to open up a 25-point lead. Leuer had six points during the stretch, including a slam to make it a 45-20 game with over 14 1/2 minutes to play. Rob Wilson's layup extended the Badgers' lead to 60-31 with 3 1/2 minutes remaining. Game Notes The Hawkeyes still lead the head-to-head series 77-75 with Wisconsin...The Badgers have won 12 of the last 14 against Iowa, including nine straight in Madison...The Badgers shot 54.9 percent from the field, while the Hawkeyes made just 37.2 percent of their shots...Wisconsin wraps up the regular season at Illinois on Sunday...Iowa closes out the regular season with a trip to Minnesota the same day.

Chicago Bears (+350) - The Bears are probably a bit of an overhyped team once again this year.No, we don't think it is plausible for QB Jay Cutler to have as bad of a season as he did last year, and we do think the additions of RB Chester Taylor and DE Julius Peppers are going to help immensely, but there's still something in the water in the Windy City that we aren't so sure about. Maybe Chicago finds its way to .500... but then again, maybe it doesn't. If Favre comes back, Cutler might be the worst quarterback in this division this year. Detroit Lions (+1500) - The Lions are probably once again going to be the whipping boys for the rest of the teams in the NFC North, but they aren't just going to roll over and die once again. There is some real talent amassing on this team offensively, as the combination of QB Matt Stafford, RB Jahvid Best, WR Calvin Johnson, and TE Brandon Pettigrew should put a bunch of points on the board if the offensive line can even remotely hold up. The questions really lie on defense, where it feels like DT Ndamukong Suh is going to be trying to stop opposing teams all by himself. This year should show some marked improvement in the Motor City.
